Some new video

Well, it's been more than a month since Avery started walking. She's gotten SO much better at it, can turn around, back up a little, maneuver, and only seems to crawl when she falls and thinks it would be simpler than trying to stand back up. Here's some new video (sorry the quality is not the best, but it's just from my camera).

Oh, and Brandi, it's too bad we can't splice the videos of the girls together, lol. Thanks for the push in the butt to put up a new video.

Finally an update. Our first slumber party!

Well, since Avery started walking, things have gotten very busy around here. She's much more "stable" with it now, and walks wherever she gets the chance. We did get the chance to meet up this last weekend with some of our friends! Actually, we had our first sleepover! Avery made some new friends, and there were lots of toys to be shared.

Computers and pictures

Avery loves seeing pictures of babies. Doesn't matter whether they are pictures of herself, other babies, random babies, cartoon babies... she loves them. So, while chatting with a friend the other day, Avery got involved and requested a baby pic. Here, she got her two favorite things. A chance to look at the computer, and a chance to see a baby! So thank you, Grant and Emily, for you contribution to our fun!!! (and yes, that is a cow romper she's wearing)

And now she WALKS!

8 months and 8 days old, and we have a walker!!! She took her first couple steps earlier this week, but tonight? She walks. And here's the video! Any idea what we're supposed to do now? EEK!

Our stair climber

So, I've said for awhile that Avery loves to climb the stairs. I mean, she LOVES it. If you let her, she'll do it 10 or more times in a row! (and yes, we tried this, trying to tire her out. Didn't work)

Anyway, I got it on video finally. Rest assured, I'm right behind her the entire time, but she has yet to even come close to falling. Oh, and her clothes here? Yeah, I just threw something together. She usually dresses MUCH better than this, lol. Anyway, here's my girl.

A day in the life.

Ever wonder what does Avery on a normal weekend day? Well, this morning, she woke up around 7:30 am (not normal, usually around 6am, but yay!). Mommy got up with her, and we had a bottle, then played with our Sound Stage and our walker and a heck of a lot of other toys, too. We decided to go to the store, so she went shopping with mommy and we took forever, since everyone had to stop us and tell us how beautiful the child was. LOL.

We got home, had some Vegetables, puffs, and milk, then took a short nap on daddy. Grandpa woke us up when he came to visit, and we played for hours with him and Grandma Sharon. Another nap shortly followed, then lots more playing, and time with our favorite talk show host, Stephen Colbert. After some dinner and a biter biscuit, we played some more, then got our bath and went to bed! Wow, that was a LOT of playing!

On the move...

We had a long day today, visiting friends, going out to eat, and grocery shopping. Since we were out visiting, Avery got to wear a pretty dress and spent much of the day practicing her walking. She took one solo step and crashed on a couple of occasions, but she has assisted walking pretty much down pat. Oh, and the places pooh bear gets to go in his stroller... He's never had it so good.
