We love puffs!

Well, Avery officially loves her Gerber puffs. She loves to feed herself with them, and added to her new sippy cup, we're well on our way to eating like a big girl! We also got a new stroller/walker this weekend. Our pooh bear fits in it great, and Avery loves to push him around and play with him the in the stroller. She's standing on her own longer and longer, and figuring out what to do with the walker seems to be loads of fun. For instance, we already learned that you should NOT stand on top of it as it will flip over, but that you SHOULD push it from behind, not the side. Fun times here!

Cranky Baby

We have a really cranky baby these days. This poor girl is so miserable with her teeth, and between that and her new separation anxiety issues, we also have cranky parents. Thanks to our friend Mary, we have teething tablets that are helping, but "Wow."

On the bright side, we finally got the Christmas tree taken down and moved around some of the toys, which have taken over our living room. Since Avery doesn't like to sit in her jumperoo anymore, we decided to take out the seat so she could stand up inside it and still play. I'm adding pictures of her standing in her jumperoo with this post.

So, off to start bathtime. Wish us luck with sleeping tonight!

So how do you forget...?

So how does a mother forget a diaper bag when leaving for an overnight trip? Seriously? Avery, Daddy and I were going to spend the evening out last night, and I FORGOT the packed diaper bag. We had NOTHING for her, except (ironically) diapers. We had to stop at Once Upon a Child to buy some clothes and pajamas, and at the drug store to get food and a bottle and stuff. ((Sigh)) seriously. What is WRONG with me?

What a tired family...

So, we're all tired. All of us. Daddy, Mommy, Avery. It's only Wednesday, and we're all ready for for the weekend. ((yawn)) I'm hoping it's just the winter blahs that has us all feeling this way, but who knows. On the other hand, maybe it's because someone won't sleep through the night! Hmmm... We need to do something about that.

So here's my pics of Avery in one of her sleepy moments. She was so tired that she just laid on Daddy's legs, looked at me, then kept burying her face.

Furniture shopping and Teeth

So we decided that we needed new furniture, and have spent the last 3 days shopping. Avery has done great, and charmed all the sales people. On the other hand, she charms everyone she meets, so I shouldn't be surprised.

We also have 2 teeth! These are our first teeth, and she's doing pretty well with them. A little crabby, but not too bad. So when she got home tonight, I let her play off some excess energy and irritability with her toys... Here's a picture of the results, as well as the bruise she put on her lip from biting her lip already.

Ok, so everyone else is doing it, right? I mean, I have so many pics of Avery and stuff, and I want to share with all our family and friends. After all, how is everyone going to know what crazy things she's doing everyday, otherwise. So, here we are...

As for our first posting, I have one word: COLD.
It's cold here. However, before it got too cold, I took Avery outside in her snowsuit to meet the snow. Here are a couple pics! Yes, she loved it, but in the first picture, she looks confused, don't you think? Like, Mom, why are you doing this?
